Mobility Hoists

The Levin Aquatic Centre has two specially designed mobility hoists available to lift people directly from a wheelchair into the pool, providing people with disabilities or limited mobility greater access to the benefits of water therapy.

The hoists hold up to 135kg and have five different size slings available. The hoists can be moved around five different locations around the three pools, making it very accessible for members of the public, and are available free of charge for public use.

The Levin Aquatic Centre staff will provide instruction the first time you use them. After your initial session you can call the Levin Aquatic Centre to book the hoist for your own use. Bookings are available but are not essential. To organise training or to make a booking for use of the hoists, please contact the Levin Aquatic Centre on (06) 368 0070.

The Levin Aquatic Centre would like to thank the Horowhenua Community for enabling them to purchase the hoists.
